History of Art
- Three to five page description of project
- Illustrations, if applicable (color photocopies are acceptable)
- Curriculum vitae of the project’s primary participant(s)
- A detailed budget
- IRS determination letter for the organization that would receive and administer the grant
- Self-addressed, stamped postcard to acknowledge receipt of application

Responsive Grants
- Two to three page description of the project that outlines the history of the endeavor and details the scope of work to be undertaken
- Curriculum vitae of the project’s primary participant(s)
- A budget that illustrates the cost of the project as whole, as well as the expenses isolated for potential Kress support
- An indication whether or not partial support would be welcome and/or beneficial to the project
- Identification of the United States non-profit organization to which any grant funds would be issued, including a specific contact name, address, and a copy of the organization’s IRS determination letter. If the organization is an intermediary, such as a “Friends” group for overseas institutions, we also need to receive a statement from that organization that expresses their willingness to act as the administrative agent for the grant.
