Lisa W. Schermerhorn to Serve as Interim President
The Board of Trustees of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation is pleased to announce that Lisa W. Schermerhorn, currently serving as Deputy Director of the Kress Foundation, has agreed to serve as Interim President after the retirement of President Max Marmor on December 31, 2023. The Board is deeply grateful to Ms. Schermerhorn during this period of transition, assuring smooth and effective management of the Foundation until a new President is appointed. Ms. Schermerhorn thanks the Board for their confidence in her leadership. She has served as Deputy Director since 2010, and prior to joining Kress in 2008, she was at Artstor, then a nascent initiative of the Mellon Foundation. A graduate of the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, she currently serves on its Alumni Council. She is also a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.
