Kress [1863-1955] on 1 June 1936 as Domenico Morone; gift to the National Gallery of Art in 1939; deaccessioned in 1952 and returned to the Samuel H. Kress Foundation; gift to the Museum of Art and Archaeology, University of Missouri in 1961, no. 61.75. [1] The Noseda collection was sold at auction at the Galleria Pesaro in Milan 2-5 December 1929, but this painting was not included in the sale.
